Free QR code generator
Make a QR code for any link.
Free, no sign-up and no watermark. Turn a link, text, Wi-Fi network, email or phone number into a QR code and download it as PNG or SVG.
Made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Linkray, and the code never expires.
How to make a QR code
Three steps, under a minute.
- Step 01
Choose what it opens
A link to share, plain text, your Wi-Fi network, an email or a phone number.
- Step 02
Make it yours
Pick colours that suit your print. Keep the code dark on a light background so every phone reads it.
- Step 03
Download and print
PNG for screens and everyday printing, SVG for print shops. Test it with your phone before you print.
Link sharing
The quickest way to share a link in the real world.
Nobody types a web address from a poster. A QR code turns any link into one scan with a phone camera.
Share a link offline
Put any web address on posters, flyers, menus or packaging, so people open it with their camera instead of typing it.
Add a code to a presentation, a video or a shop window, and people take the link with them in one scan.
Share Wi-Fi with guests
A Wi-Fi QR code joins the network in one tap, without spelling out the password.
Static or dynamic
Printing it? Make it dynamic.
The codes on this page are static: what you type is fixed in the print. A dynamic code from Linkray QR opens a link you can change after printing, and shows you every scan.
| Static (this page) | Dynamic (Linkray QR) | |
|---|---|---|
| Change the link after printing | No | Yes, any time |
| See how many people scan it | No | By day, country, city and device |
| Expires | Never | Never, while active in your account |
| Sign-up | Not needed | Free for 3 codes |
Questions
QR codes, answered.
- Is this QR code generator free?
- Yes. Make as many QR codes as you like, download them as PNG or SVG and use them anywhere, including commercially. No sign-up, no watermark.
- Do the QR codes expire?
- No. These are static QR codes: the link or text is stored in the code itself, so it works for as long as the print exists, without Linkray.
- What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
- A static QR code holds its content directly and can never change. A dynamic QR code opens a short link that you can point somewhere new at any time, and it counts every scan. Use static for things that never change, like Wi-Fi details, and dynamic for anything printed that might.
- Can I track how many people scan my QR code?
- Not with a static code, since scans never pass through a server. A dynamic Linkray QR code shows scans by day, country, city and device. The Free plan includes 3 dynamic codes.
- How do I share a link with a QR code?
- Paste the link above, download the code and put it where people are: on a poster, a slide, a table card, packaging or a screen. Anyone can scan it with their phone camera, no app needed.
- How big should I print a QR code?
- At least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in) for something held in the hand. For posters and signs, make the code about a tenth of the distance people scan from: 30 cm wide to scan from 3 metres.
- PNG or SVG?
- PNG for screens, documents and everyday printing. SVG for print shops and designers: it is a vector file, so it stays sharp at any size.
- Is what I type stored anywhere?
- No. The QR code is made in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to Linkray. We only count anonymous usage, like which type of code was made and roughly which country it was made in, without cookies or IP addresses.
